CHALLENGE

It was the holiday season no one will forget. With Covid-19 in full force, traditional celebrations of gathering and celebrating were no longer an option. Our global client felt defeated as they struggled to find a way to host a virtual event that could foster the same holiday spirit across the globe for their 2,500 team members.

We had just over a month to create and execute an engaging event that transcended physical boundaries, protected personal privacy, and could be adapted for individuals or families. Additionally, we faced the challenge of international shipping restrictions and a global supply chain shortage.

Despite these obstacles, we were invigorated by the task and determined to succeed!

SOLUTION

We determined that to bring the global group together virtually, we needed to focus on the core principle we all needed so much of at the time, kindness. We developed a Kindness Calendar with 10 different solo, family, and team-oriented challenges to be dripped out daily.

The daily challenges prompted participants to contribute to a collaborative cookbook, send certificates of appreciation, contribute their favorite song to the holiday playlist, and collectively mail 20,000+ cards to seniors who were alone. The accompanying Cheer Kit was mailed to each person and filled with corresponding supplies wrapped as gifts. These included sidewalk chalk art, card-making kits, and craft supplies for holiday cheer. This initiative was so successful at spreading kindness, that the client decided to bring Bash and Cheer events back quarterly for the following three years.
