Women's History Month: Activate and Collaborate

Wrapping up our content for Women’s History Month, we felt inspired to feature a few standout event activations and campaigns designed and curated by and/or for women. Their focus is to generate a consciousness of belonging, community, and recognition, while prioritizing diversity, allyship and sponsorship. Here’s what we rounded up!

The Female Quotient is a woman-owned business working with companies and conscious leaders to curate experiences, thought leadership, and solutions designed to achieve gender equality in the workplace and beyond. They create tailored Equality Lounges at all types of events, with quite a few being legendary at Davos, Cannes Lions, CES, and SXSW. We experienced one of their Equality Lounges at a crypto ecosystem conference last fall.. There, they created a welcoming oasis within the event for women to network and learn more about how they can support each other in the industry.  Over tasty bites and bubbly, guests connected and received branded merch with coined phrases such as “This is what a woman in crypto looks like”.

This year will mark their 10th anniversary with the incredibly sought-after event taking place at their home base of San Francisco, California. They will fill the Castro District with diverse content in various formats including keynotes, workshops, breakout sessions, career fairs, tech crawls, mentorship opportunities, networking lounges, and lively contests.

Worthi is an ethnographic marketing and communications agency that specializes in every medium relevant to historically under-served audiences in earned, owned, shared and paid spaces. They focus on the behaviors of people around the world to create the connective tissue between their client’s unique needs and a brand’s distinctive story. One of their recent pieces of work we’d like to highlight includes a campaign with Bumble called #LoveLettersToBlackWomen.  In partnership with creative director and musician Jesse Boykins and actor Keith Powers, they co-created a beautiful and heartwarming piece of content featuring Bumble’s real-life user community as well as notable fans of famous Black women.
